This is incredibly beautiful and the softening/letting go is something I continue to learn as the layers evolve. After some resistance I managed to soften into my daughter's dislike of the buggy, or indeed any vessel that rendered her separate from me. Now she is 4, there is a whole other realm of softening to her sensitivity that is required. The beauty of your daughter's observations are SO magical in every way xx
Beautiful truth. I relate on so many levels. Mine are 4 and 6 and we took a left hand turn last year when I decided to homeschool the kindergartener. Now I’ve realized what a gift it is to surrender to it all and enjoy the slower life. So we will continue to homeschool and are pulling the 4yo out of pre-k after one year of it. And the hours I usually would tidy or run errands or whatever are instead spent reading together and going on walks. Finding the sacred in the surrender.
Such a beautiful post, as always. This sparked so much within me as recently I’ve been feeling such a shift away from over scheduling our days and just going with what feels right on that particular day instead.
I took my daughter to a mother’s circle last week and beforehand, I had attempted to explain the premise of it (but not very well!)
At the end, as we were clearing away and heading out the door, she said “I love this” and I replied “you love what darling?” and her little voice came back, “I love circle”
In that moment I was reminded of the beautiful simplicity that a sacred space can hold as I witnessed it through her eyes. Children are truly such a blessing ✨✨✨
This piece is my favorite I have read so far, the way you brought us into the moment through thought, feeling and observation, bringing us to the peak revelation of the sacredness in all through your daughter's eyes. Such a treasure - thank you so much Asia.
Yay! I love this. The sacredness in all. What a beautiful world we live in, and what a beautiful letting-go of schedules and plans! I am inspired.
Oh this is such a beautiful reminder of their purity. What a beautiful moment, thank you for sharing with us xx

That baby of yours and you are sacred. What a beautiful, moving piece you gifted me today when I so needed it ♥️
